Meet Sreenath Sukumaran, who completed a MBA in Business Analytics, 2009.

Since graduating, Sreenath works as a Customer Account Manager for Certas Energy, with responsibilities including driving business growth through new sales & researching potential leads.

Sreenath's special memory of UEL was graduation; "As well as proudly graduating, I also proposed to my partner whilst wearing the ceremonial gown and cap at the beautiful Docklands campus".

Online Masters in SEN: Applications Open for January 2025

If you're looking to gain advanced skills in the field of Special Educational Needs (SEN) alongside your full-time job, our online Masters/ PG Diploma/ PG Certificate in Special and Additional Learning Needs programme, delivered in partnership with ICEP Europe, might be the right fit for you!

Delivered entirely online, this international programme offers ongoing support from experienced tutors, fostering engagement through class discussions and online tutorials. Completion is achievable within 2 years. Participants can personalise their learning journey by selecting modules aligning with their interests and educational contexts. London School of Business and Finance (LSBF) Summer School 2025 in Asia: Apply Now!

The Global Experiences team is excited to offer UEL students and recently-graduated alumni the opportunity to apply for a 4-week in-person work-based learning programme in Singapore and Malaysia. Dive into an interactive learning experience in two of Southeast Asia's key capital cities.

What does the programme involve?
This summer school programme offers valuable insights into business practices and culture in Asia. Through lectures, group sessions, projects, networking, experiential learning, and visits to various organisations, you’ll gain a comprehensive understanding while building lasting social and academic connections. This programme will provide you with the context to understand how the ASEAN region is positioned in relation to global businesses.

UEL Alumni Webinar Series with Ruth Hughes 

Tuesday 12th November 2024, 18:00-22:00, Online

In the month of November, we are joined by UEL Alumni Ruth Hughes who will discuss the topic of Flourishing in New Environments.

Ruth graduated with an MSc (Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology), and is a Coach, Educator, Consultant, and professional Speaker in the fields of Coaching Psychology, Positive Psychology, Positive education, Culture shock and International student wellbeing.  

After 30 years in Education and Leadership roles, Ruth founded her award-winning company Curious Human Ltd in 2018. Additionally, she has held the roles of Course Director for the Coaching Certificate Programme at Cambridge University and Module Leader/Lecturer for the MAPPCP at UEL and is currently Adjunct Professor of Psychological Wellbeing at the American Institute for Foreign Study.

The following areas will be discussed: 

•    Adapting and thriving in unfamiliar environments  
•    Learning ‘practical, cognitive, and emotional’ strategies
•    Overcoming culture shock, and building resilience
•    Embracing new opportunities
