Call for Alumni Speakers to Share Volunteering Experience for Panel Event

The University of East London Careers & Student Enterprise team is looking to hold a panel event of alumni speakers sharing their experiences with students around the career benefits of volunteering.

The aim of the panel is to educate students on why gaining volunteering experience is not only beneficial to the community, but also to the volunteers' career prospects. The Careers & Student Enterprise team are looking for 4-5 alumni to discuss how their volunteering helped them in their career in some way. Did your volunteering experience turn into paid work? Did your volunteering allow you to network & potentially meet a new employer? Or did volunteering give you the confidence or experience that you were able to use in a job application or interview?

The event is hoping to go ahead in February/March 2022, for around 1-1.5 hours with a Q&A session at the end. If you would like to share your volunteering experience with the next generation of graduates, please email Bethan Wilson, Volunteer Co-ordinator, at B.Wilson@uel.ac.uk to express your interest and find out more.
