Super Early Bird Tickets are now on sale for the 2024 UEL Alumni Big Weekend, 2nd - 4th August 2024

Back by popular demand, join us for a fun-filled weekend of workshops, social activities, a keynote speaker, a gala dinner, and much more! With more ticket options this year to suit your needs, it will be a weekend not to be missed. If you didn't attend last years Alumni Big Weekend, you can read all about it here.

We have released a limited number of super early bird tickets; get your tickets here at the below prices until midnight on the 22nd of January 2024.

Super Early Bird Alumni Big Weekend- Residential Ticket - Two Night Stay (Friday to Sunday) £80 

Super Early Bird Alumni Big Weekend- Residential Ticket - One Night Stay (Saturday to Sunday) £40

Ticket prices will increase on the 22nd of January at midnight and again in May, so take advantage of our discount today. Book your super early bird tickets today for substantial savings. 

When purchasing your ticket, please read the descriptions carefully and purchase the one that best suits your needs. All residential tickets are single occupancy, but you can request to stay in a block with your friends; if you wish to do so, please state this on the booking form. 

If you are purchasing a one or two-night stay or full weekend ticket, your ticket includes food, drink, and all activities across the weekend, including the Gala Dinner. Those of you who purchase a two-night stay have the bonus of being on site bright and early for the Saturday activities and added entertainment on the Friday night in the form of a quiz.

If you purchase a single-day ticket, your ticket includes food, drink, and all activities for the day you purchase. However, it does not include the Gala dinner, which you must purchase separately.

And if you can't make the whole weekend but would like to join us for just the Gala dinner, that's an option too!

Once you have booked your tickets, you will receive further instructions, closer to the time of the event.

Finally, we are pleased to let you know that just like last year, the money raised from ticket sales will go directly towards our Alumni Hardship Bursary, which is designed to provide extra financial support to assist our students on a low income to remain in higher education. So you can have a weekend of exciting activities with your peers and support the future generation of alums simultaneously!

Online MA in Special & Additional Learning Needs: Applications Open for the January 2024 Intake! 

If you are seeking to expand your knowledge in Special and Additional Learning Needs, the Online Masters in Special and Additional Learning Needs might be the right fit for you. 

This programme is developed jointly by the School of Education and Communities, University of East London (UEL) and the Institute of Child Education and Psychology (ICEP) Europe. It is curated for individuals interested in Special and Additional Learning Needs, both in the UK and internationally, including those who have achieved a National Award in Special Educational Needs Coordination (SENCo) and want to progress to an MA qualification. It is also particularly suitable for teachers, psychologists and other allied professionals working in educational settings who wish to deepen and extend their existing knowledge of inclusive education and evidence-based approaches in order to respond effectively to the needs of their students. 

Delivered entirely online, this international programme offers ongoing support from experienced tutors, fostering engagement through class discussions and online tutorials. Completion is achievable within 2 years! 

Participants can personalize their learning journey by selecting modules aligning with their interests and educational contexts. Modules include Inclusive Education, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Applied Behaviour Analysis, Dyslexia and Literacy, Exceptionally Able Learners and Understanding Behaviour. 

The programme's online format and the flexibility to pay for modules on an individual basis cater to professionals with busy schedules, offering the flexibility to earn a recognized University qualification regardless of location.

Alumni Advisory Board Showcase

Wednesday 6th December 2023, 18:00-21:00, Underground Bar, UEL Docklands Campus, University Way, London, E16 2RD. 

After the  great success of our first Alumni Advisory Board Showcase in May we are back with another, taking place on Wednesday 6th December, at our Docklands Campus, from 6pm. 

At this event you will get the chance to see both artwork, photography, and instillations from a large number of graduates as well as see performances from a number of individuals and groups. We have 4 fabulous performances lined up for you as well as an array of art being displayed.

We are really excited by this event and hope you can join us.

Drinks and nibbles will be served, tickets are free but spaces are limited. So register today!

Sustainable Future: Opening of the Royal Docks Centre for Sustainability

UEL Alumni Virtual Christmas Networking & Quiz 

Thursday 7th December 2023, 18:00- 21:00, Online

The UEL Alumni team invites you to join us to celebrate this festive season at one of two events to celebrate the successful year we have had and allow you to socialise and connect with your fellow Alumni.  

The virtual Christmas networking event is taking place on Thursday 7th December with a fun social quiz for attendees to take part in and a potential prize of amazon vouchers. 

This event is open to all, and spaces are not limited, however, registration must be made by the Friday 1st December. Once you have registered you will be emailed a joining link for you to be able to attend.

Alumni Webinar Series: The Art of Story Telling with Mandy Krause

UEL Alumni Christmas Networking Event
