Online Masters in SEN: Applications Open for January 2025

Applications open for September 2025 for our online MA in Special and Additional Learning Needs with ICEP Europe

If you are considering upskilling in 2025, we wanted to let you know that we have opened applications for our online and flexible MA Special and Additional Learning Needs programme, delivered jointly by the University of East London and the Institute of Child Education and Psychology Europe (ICEP Europe).

Module choices include Autism, Dyslexia, Inclusion, and Understanding Behaviour, and there is a focus on contemporary issues such as neurodiversity, strength-based approaches, and universal design for learning.

International in its reach, the programme draws students from Ireland and the UK, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa, and from countries as diverse as Hong Kong, South Africa, and India.

We are running a webinar on Thursday, 27th of February at 4 PM GMT and would love to see you there and answer any questions you may have. We will also be joined by a recent graduate, who will share her experience of the course.

UEL Alumni Masterclass with Irene

Thursday 27th February 2024, 18:00-19:00, Online

Irene is a First Class BA Honours Graduate from the University of East London and an accomplished Senior IT Project Manager with experience across industries such as railway, events, healthcare, research, education, and innovation. Most notably, she played a pivotal role in supporting NHS COVID-19 programs, demonstrating her ability to manage complex, high-pressure initiatives with significant impact. Irene will be discussing the topic of Project Management in the Era of Disruption: Navigating Change, Embracing Agile and Leveraging Ai.

MHRA Graduate Scheme

The MHRA Graduate Scheme is a three-year graduate development scheme that provides an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in protecting public health and positively influencing patient safety. You would play a part in:

  • enabling the development of medical products in an agile and flexible way, in support of the Government’s life sciences innovation agenda
  • critically appraising the benefits and risks of medicines and medical devices to inform robust decisions about healthcare quality and access
  • using robust vigilance processes that can quickly detect, monitor and evaluate adverse effects and challenges with medicines and medical devices.

Joining a cohort of eight graduates, you will have the opportunity to undertake several placements in London or South Mimms (Hertfordshire), working closely with highly skilled multidisciplinary teams across our core operating groups: (1) Science and Research, (2) Healthcare Quality and Access (3) Safety and Surveillance, (4) Innovation and Compliance.

The scheme provides a fully financially supported study package towards a Level 7 (degree level) apprenticeship in Regulatory Affairs, with 20% of your time dedicated to this course. There is the option to convert this into an MSc qualification at the end of the scheme, subject to eligibility.

Following the scheme, you will be in a strong position to apply for more senior roles at the MHRA. Working here can also be a brilliant grounding for a career across the health sector or in the pharmaceutical industry. For more information & to apply please click here.
