Alumni needed for Royal Docks Summer Festival 2024!

Are you a member of the UEL alumni community who wants to get involved with our annual Royal Docks Innovation and Enterprise Summer Festival? This year will take the theme of Year of Science and we want to hear from you.

Can you perform on the main stage? Do you have a small business and want to host a workshop/activity? Do you run a catering business and want to run a food stall? 

Whatever talent or activity you have to offer, we want to hear from you. Email events@uel.ac.uk by 29th February 2024 and let us know how you would like to be involved. Fees will be discussed depending on the size and scale of your idea.

Alumni Webinar Series with Linn Nyrvik

Tuesday 30th January 2024, 18:00- 19:30, Online

From the Nordics via Beijing to London - A Global Journey through B2B Social Media.Linn is a Social Media enthusiast for B2B businesses, and a holds an (MA) in Media, Communication & Global Development, and a BA in Journalism from Oslo Metropolitan University and one semester in Digital Media from Communication University of China. 
Her UEL dissertation about B2B Social Media back in 2020, lead to a narrower career focus. Linn has since lead on social and digital media for various industries including professional services and B2B Tech with a proven record of growth as a direct result. 
As a Senior Account Manager for SPQR Communications, Linn is leading digital media for a global client in the B2B sector. Linn is a strategic enthusiast in the ever-evolving landscape of digital marketing, and she will give you an understanding of why every business should have a social media presence - and where to start. 

UEL Alumni LGBT+ History Month Panel Event 

Thursday 1st February, 18:00- 20:00, Online

The month of February is LGBT History Month, and we are hosting an LGBTQ+ Panel event to recognise the vibrant history, as well as promoting inclusivity, raising awareness, and fostering a sense of pride and acceptance of the LGBTQ+ Community.

The panel aims to celebrate the diverse history of the LGBTQ+ Community, highlighting important milestones, challenges, and achievements. It will explore the significance of representation as we encourage the panellists to engage in sharing personal stories, and examining the impact of historical events on the LGBTQ+ community.

Promotion of Career Development for the Construction Industry in Hong Kong
