UEL Alumni Mental Health Panel Event

Thursday 16th May 2024, 18:00-20:00, Online

Mental Health Awareness Week (13-19th May) has been run by the Mental Health Foundation since 2001. The Alumni Engagement team will recognise and celebrate this week through the Panel Event. We aim to raise awareness about the mental health continuum and reduce stigma associated with Mental illness  by promoting help seeking behaviours and emotional wellbeing practices, such as self-care.

The theme for this year’s Mental Health Awareness week is "Movement: Moving more for our mental health". Being active is important for our mental health, however, so many of us struggle to get enough exercise. We know there are many different reasons for this, so this Mental Health Awareness Week we aim to help people to find moments for movement in their daily routines. This includes: going for a walk in your neighbourhood, putting on your favourite music and dancing around the living room, chair exercises when you’re watching television – it all counts!

The panel discussion will feature four of our inspiring alumni and will be hosted by the Alumni Advisory Board chair Edna Chirwa.

Please click the link below to register your attendance by Monday 13th May.
